Professional Staff

Charlotte Frank is the Director of Religious School at Adath Shalom.  Charlotte taught Religious School for over 25 years and was a MetroWest trained teacher-mentor for 5 years before becoming our Education Director as well as being a longtime congregant. She has served as a Board Member or officer of many of our local Jewish communal agencies and continues to serve as a member of the United Jewish Center Women’s Board.

 

Her vision for Jewish Education includes Torah, worship, Tikkun Olam – the 3 things that make Judaism come alive. Charlotte is a member of the Jewish Educators Assembly of United Synagogues of Conservative Judaism, co-chair of the Principal’s Forum for MetroWest as well as a graduate of the New Directors Institute of USCJ. She is actively involved in mentoring new teachers in our community as well as working to encourage lifelong Jewish learning for all. She believes in leading by example and mentoring to bring others along to her vision is the way to run a successful school.

 

Every day at Adath Shalom Religious School is a gift for her and to her. She maintains an Open Door policy for students and parents. She has expanded our Religious School beyond the traditional Kindergarten through Seventh grade program to include a monthly class for all congregational children in grades eighth through tenth which she and the Rabbi teach. She also has encouraged older teens to work in the Religious School for community service credit.
